Pastor Jason is the lead pastor at First Baptist Belle Chasse. He gave his heart and life to Christ Jesus at the age of 16. At the age of 18, he surrendered to God’s call to ministry and for the last 16 years has faithfully served the church in various capacities, including worship pastor, student pastor, and lead pastor. He earned his BA in Christian Ministry from Leavell College and his MDiv Standard from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
Pastor Jason has a deep passion for the Word of God, the gospel of Jesus, and empowering the church to reach the world for Christ His greatest prayer for the church is that they would know Christ intimately, grow in their walk with him, and go forward with the message of Christ to the world.
He married his beautiful bride and partner in ministry, Heather Woolfolk Allen, in 2007, and they have three children: Caleb, Gabrielle, and Micah.
Join us at 10:30 each Sunday morning, and at 6:15 each Wednesday Night to be encouraged, challenged, and equipped by the preaching of the Word of God through Pastor Jason.
Worship Leader & Student Minister
Brian is a full-time student at New Orleans Baptist Theological seminary pursuing a Masters of Divinity in Christian Thought. Brian lives on campus at NOBTS with his wife, Laura, and two daughters. Brian has been serving in student ministry for over a decade and has been leading worship for twenty years, serving churches in Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama, and California.
Brian's purpose statement for student ministry is "Discovering who we are in Christ together." The purpose of student ministry is not to entertain teens or replace spiritual rearing at home, but to provide a place for students to find their identity in Christ and share that experience with others. Brian's hope for your student is that they will find, and eventually lead, their spiritual support group through First Baptist Church Students.
In worship, Brian seeks to model a vertical relationship with God, meaning that his desire is to worship from the stage and invite the audience to worship along with him. To Brian, worship is not a performance, its modeling reverence and humility before a God that deserves our attention and praise. If you are a vocalist, instrumentalist, musician, or performer of any kind, Brian wants to incorporate you into our worship services. Please Contact Us to express interest.
"After having served various churches as minister of music for 23 years, I am still growing into my administrative role at First Baptist Belle Chasse each day. My vision is to facilitate church members to work together toward common goals, which requires faith in God, sensitivity, integrity, timing, administrative skills, and resourcefulness. I am discovering that even good administration and wise management is as much an art with people as a skill-set with paper. With this new responsibility, I desire to help our church fulfill her mission for Christ."
